BLEACHING??????

Ok here is a question. Is there any other reason besides shedding that would cause a bearded dragons head to turn white? Just the head and nothing else? My dragon has already shed a week ago and the head is now turning white. whiter each day. any reason for this?

I wouldnt worry about it. Beardies shed in patches and chunks, so its not abnormal to see them with lighter colored areas on their bodies. Also, how old is your dragon? If she is a baby then it makes even more sense because she is growing so fast she needs to shed more often than an adult.

Just to add a little to what Altered said.... The older and bigger they get the more only one part of thier body will shed at a time. I noticed with mine that after about 12 inches the head seemed to shed twice to a full body shed. (once with full body and once between )My only guess for that would be because the bone structure is more dense and takes longer to grow to the ideal size the genetic code has pre dtermined? Just a guess. I'd say she's just shedding too. If you have any problems with shedding check out Bio-Mist by T-Rex. It is great stuff.
