Weight question

pyromanic666 Sep 26, 2004 12:55 PM

what is a healthy weight on an '03 ball python? i've seen some advertised at like 600 and one as low as 215 is there something wrong with this guy or would it still be okay to buy for an investment?

I have a may 03 that weighs 1400 grams he eats everything. I have a 9/03 that is picky and weighs around 400 grams. And a 11/03 that will only eat mice and she too is around 400 grams.

So you can have all different weights and be ok depending on when it was born. I would be alittle concerned if it is on the lower side as the animal may not eat as often as it should. Ask the seller more questions regarding how often and what it is eating and exactly how old the snake is.

That thing has issues if its that small. I feel that 50-75 grams per each month of age is a decent number to go by for juvis.

it was actually a 12/03 240 gram animal. i talked to the seller and he hadn't updated his site recently. still, is this an acceptable weight? would it affect its sexual development?
