Has anyone fed grasshoppers to their WD's? Similare to crikets but i would like to be sure they have not poison or anything before I feed them. There are just too many around my place not to try. Anyway hope someone has some input. Thanks

ive fed tons of grasshoppers to my wd, though the season is sort of over in my area. The only problem with the grasshoppers is that they will eat the plants in your tank (until they get eaten of course). So just make sure that the plants in your tank arent toxic... Im not sure if there are any naturally toxic grasshoppers.
Grasshoppers are fine to feed, but they may be carrying pesticides or parasites. Usually wild insects aren't the best choice for feeders.

fortunately, i live in a park, and on a mountain top, and in th emiddle of no where... no pesticides near me
I heard that grasshoppers can eat fungus infected grass and thus become toxic. I don't know how serious a threat that is, since I have never heard of a waterdragon getting sick from eating a grasshopper, but I always avoid collecting grasshoppers from areas where the grass has brown or any kind diseased look about it.
