my step sisters dragon

rttlrvenom Sep 26, 2004 01:03 PM

well this is Dragon. im sure how old he is excaly but hes been under my supervision for about 3 months. right now is in a 10 gallon tank. I realize this probably isnt the best cage size and im working on getting a him a bigger. i just put the green leaves in for him and i think he likes it because he seems greener than before. right now he is eating about 4-5 crickets a day. I dust the crickets about 1-2 times a week. And i mist around 2-3 times a day to keep the humidy up because my house is pretty dry right now. Is there anything im doing really wrong, i have like 4 caresheets and a book on water dragon husbandry. so if theres is anything i could do better please let me know.

Well, he does need a bigger home, but you already know that. It looks like you have a nice little male there, although the pic is a bit fuzzy. You can try varying his diet a bit, maybe add some fish or worms.

Thye bigger cage is the most important thing you can do. With the ten gallon your going to start noticing developmental problems. He could sloth off part of his tail, or lose mobility from lack of exercise.
