Pic of my New Beardie "Tank"

Lyn Sep 26, 2004 03:10 PM

Hi everyone,
I went to my local Reptile Show last weekend in hopes of finding a Beardie and a BP. There were hundreds of Beardies to pick from. It was a bit overwhelming. I had already seen a Beardie nicknamed "Tank" on Champion Reptile's website and thought he was nice looking from the photo they had online

They said the photo was washed out and he was more orange in person. He was more orange when I saw him at the show, and even more orange when I got him home under his heat lamp and UV light.

Well, since I mentioned getting him home I guess it's obvious he's the dragon I ended up choosing LOL... He was a cross of an Orange Beardie and a German Giant. He's 4 months old and eats anything you offer him. He likes hanging out with me while I surf the internet...

He's super sweet and has already done a couple school demos with Champion and a Cub Scout demo with me. The kids loved him.

I'm very happy I chose him out of all of the dragons at the show.

I look forward to getting to know you guys and seeing all the wonderful photos posted on this forum. Beardies are just so awesome. I'm still working on his name. Since Champion had nicknamed him Tank I'm just calling him that for now, but do plan to change it once I find a name that sticks.

Here is the BP I picked out. He is a year old, I named him Slytherin. Very fussy eater so I'm in for a challenge. Has only eaten on his own a few times in the past year. But he's a sweetie pie and I love him. Hope I can get him eating regularly though.
