Snake Eating

Hi one quick question, what's the best method and healthiest in way in feeding my cali king for getting it's largest potentitial size and having good girth (width)? He is currently about 10 months old. Thanks.

In my opinion, the healthiest way is to space his feedings out so he grows more naturaly. In the wild a snake feeds as it finds food and that can be infrequent. because of this, their metabolism (depending on species)is naturally geared to periods of fasting.

Some people advocate feeding as often as every four days for fast growth. My preference is to feed on a every other week basis. Slower growing, but I think healther result.

Ok is this method you use for any age snake from the time it's a baby til it gets old or just for adult or? Thanks
