LOL!!!! Whoever told oyu Ribbon Snakes are venmous must have been on crack. Not only are Ribbon/Garter Snakes NON-VENMOUS they are perectly harmless and kept as pets in MILLIONS of homes. They are non-venomous, have tiny itty bitty teeth, are rarely aggressive, and make great pets. There is absoltuely nothign to worry abotu or be afradi of.

I read that someone found a garter snake eating a poisonous newt and it it definitely looked a bit sluggish. It finished the newt, and after a few hours eventually got a little faster. It very slowly slitered off into the grass. So i guess the snake either threw it back up, died(hope not!), or finished the slug and is having a hangover. I know that newts are not the same as slugs, so it may go a little different. Hope it turns out ok!
