anyone know of a good driftwood site?
I get mine around our local lakes believe it or not, alot that wash up on shore,but htey want to sell you a small piece for alot of money. Have any friends, family that live near the ocean?? Mine do and thats also where I get mine.

My roomates are2 boas, 4 corns,Rotti,3cats and snake food AKA the food chain.
Freshwater lakes and stream are you best sources for driftwood. It must be treated properly to rid it of harmful bugs, molds, fungus and mildew. There have been numerous posts on this forum on treating. Ocean driftwood can be a little more precarious to use as the salts will be almost impossible to leach out.

well actually i myself live about five miles from the gulf coast. after hurricane ivan hit i went to the beaches and looked for driftwood, and as usuall i cant find any ( not cypress anyway) ill just keep at it. thanks for answering
