As the others stated, Barrs makes a great cage and although I have yet to try one, the part screen/part acrylic cages from Reptile Depot look nice too.

I got the crested gecko enclosure from Reptiledepot and I'm pretty happy with it. 23" tall, 16"x16" base, acrylic sides with screen top and front, two doors in the front. Easy to put together with a phillips screwdriver.

However, I must warn you that I had a very negative experience with Reptiledepot's customer support. They're pretty unresponsive when I just tried asking for a tracking number (didn't respond to emails; when I called they took my number down and never called back... many times) I had to resort to using Paypal's dispute system to get a response out of them. I got the enclosure 2 1/2 weeks after I ordered it.

I think I'm pretty forgiving with online ordering, but these guys managed to piss me off. In the end, I was happy with the final product but it took me much more effort than it should have.

So I would recommend ordering the enclosure but be sure to use a credit card with consumer protection or Paypal so you have the ability to get your money back if they drop the ball.

I'm still sold on my all-screen cages. They look nice, are extremely easy to clean and easy to mist. You don't have to worry about water marks on the glass and the cresteds can climb all over the place.

I am very happy with them.

I don't know the advantage of having the acrylic sides. The humidity requirements of the crested can be easily maintained by daily misting.

Of course - everybody has their personal preferences. But it sure is fun talking and looking at different ideas!!!

Good luck

I much prefer screen cages as I think its far more natural to mist down the cage and let it dry completely out .
Which also helps prevent molding .

LOL ,I shrank your posting down before my wife could read it.Told her it was porn .I figured she might catch on...lol
She broke down and agreed to a baby iguana 6 years ago. Now theres a 6ftx8ft iguana cage in the living room a 100 gallon turtle pond in the breakfast nook and the formal dinning room now has 6-18x18x3ft crested cages .I barely resisted adding Gargoyles to the mix from my first Reptile show .
( I did catch her checking prices of beardies however) The plans have been drawn up for my reptile room come next spring .
