radiated rat snake regurging

traceh Sep 26, 2004 10:09 PM

My '03 albino radiated rat snake female has decided to go off feeding for the past three weeks. She ate twice before going off and regurged both times. I keep her in the snake rack along with all my other snakes, including another radiated. All the other snakes are fine. I keep the rack thermostatically controlled at around 83 degrees. Is it normal for radiateds to go off feeding randomly?

you say she regurg'd twice before she went off feeding. how long after the first regurg did you wait to feed her again? When they regurg their digestive systems mess up, so you really need to wait a full 7-10 days to let it get all back in order. Are you just offering now and she's not accepting it or what? I'm too knowledgeable on the radiated rats, but you may want to give her some time then try again in a week. leave her totally alone. Sometimes works...ive been told.
