AFT scratching

Brxa Sep 26, 2004 10:20 PM

My AFT's been acting strangely. He scratches the floor of the tank. I keep him on paper towels. He started doing this only few days ago, but in the early morning hours. Keeps me up, really annoying. I heard they like to dig, what can I do??

Is the enclosure humid or dry? Make sure the enclosure has a humid spot. Is it eating? Size/age?

He is 8 months and about 8 inches long.
He is eating normally.

I mist the tank daily, but i think his hide was too arid maybe. I did mist there too yesterday and he wasn't scratching last night.

Make him a a humid hide box out of a cheap "Glad" type container. Mist the inside of the box and substrate thats inside it.
