Light colored copperhead.

dartbreeder Sep 26, 2004 10:35 PM

I have this animal in my collection for future breeding purposes and just wanted to know what everybody thinks of it. It is by far the lightest colored copperhead I have ever seen and am very pleased it crossed paths with my friend just a week ago in Newnan Ga.

Nice looking but not uncommon a color in some southern populations. While doing venom research on copperhead venom we had about 200 southern copperheads on hand. The juveniles often were light colored as were some adults.

I'm from Missouri and a lot of our copperheads are light like that...
