there is a ups, dhl, ups, and fed ex place all close to me, none of them will ship my animals except dhl. I bred bearded dragons this year, and I dont know how to ship some of them, I have several buyers, but one is in a place that dhl will only ship second day, and I wont do that. I never thought the rest wouldnt ship animals, because I have recieved so many through the rest. How do you do it? lie about whats in the package? any suggestions? what happens if you know they dont accept animals, but you do it and just dont mention it, but they somehow find out? The post office ships overnight but they wont ship for me either.

Well USPS should ship your animals. You could try calling Douglas Dix at deerfernfarms.com and ask him how he ships his animals. I get my uromastyx from him and they are shipped USPS Express so they should do it.

You know how to package them correct? If you don't just call Doug he can help probably. Bearded's are similar to uros in the fact that both are desert animals and need heat to survive.

USPS should do it though, don't lie about the package.

Don't go UPS because they throw their packages and its likely if you went through them that the animals will all be dead from the transportation process before they reach their destination.

I hope this helps.

UPS is a bad carrier for the people who do not clearly mark the box with LIVE HARMLESS LIZARD AND SPECIES NAME ETC! I myself have an authorized live reptile account via UPS and have never had a problem.
USPS is not as fast and could take up to 2-3 days for your package to arrive no some locations. All you have to do is call the 1-800 UPS number and talk to an accounts manager, the will do a short phone interview with you and let you know if you have been approved. Either way you must write what is in the box on the outside of it so they dont throw it around. You can also try FED EX but DHL as I was told no longer ships live animals, just bugs.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will call them. I hope they approve me cause if DHL no longer does it, I dont know what I am going to do. UGH!!!
