Finally find a way how to use the camera.
It stays difficult with a Powersun on the background.
But here is one of the results.

keep posting these beauties!

I agree with JohnE. Some of what you refer to as baileyi, look
like auriceps

"collaris" physical characterisics showing...The head shape looks very "collaris," however, the farther western range, thus the blue throat. The one you call baileyi looks more of what I see as auriceps. Your female auriceps looks nearly 100% like my own. I'll post a picture of her tonight for you.

Thanks for sharing, your lizards are very nice!

Hello john,

Here is one of my "auriceps" female.
she and the male are deffently baileyï "auriceps".
They come from colorado.
The "normal" baileyï's lifes more to Utah.
The difference between them is that the baileyï is smaller as the baileyï "auriceps".
This bloodline of my "auricpes" is caught by Robert Schumacher around 1992.

I'm looking forward to see your female.

Greetings Peter

Each one very lovely and some sweet faces in the group. Thanks for sharing.

Were all from New Mexico...south central location to be exact. Their colors were much more drab that what is seen in the Colorado, Utah areas. I'll see if I can dig up my old baileyi photographs, or get my buddy who lives out there to take some new pictures for me :P

I know of one other person that lives in New Mexico that sees a number of the baileyi in that region. He sent me a few babies several years ago, and they were the first lizards I ever bred in captivity. The males had very little yellow on them, but of course color was very variable.

Nice looking lizard. Did it come from Robert Schumacher?

wwwwwells Sep 28, 2004 12:56 AM

I guess if I read all the post it would have ansewered my question. John E, the female you have that I bred came from Robert Schumacher's lizards too.

So, It's just one big family.
So thats the reason Johns female is looking the same.
But Will, what are they ??

The Bigger version of the baileyi's calls Robert "auriceps"
It's a name that I use the last years.
Now it calling baileyi "auriceps".
The smaller version (like the photo)is only calling baleyi.

I know they are all Cr. collaris. But how do you think about this supspecies family name's????

It is for sure, too family's whats Robert bringing in to Europe, are deffenently different supspecies.
The shape of boddy is verry different.

Greetings Peter
