Questions about crickets and me ranting on.

My baby leopard gecko really likes crickets. I had him out on my bed and I tried to get him to eat a waxworm and he didn't want it and then he saw the little container I had the crickets in and went over to the side and started watching them. So I got him one out and held it in a pair of tweezers and he ate it right up. Boy is he fast, kinda startled me. Wish I would have got a picture of it, looked really cool. So I did it again and he ate another. So I dusted 4 more and put them in his cage and let him go back in there. Now he is just hanging out under a rock ledge I made and I have 4 crickets running around the cage in circles following each other, climbing in and out of his nonhumid hide and I am afraid he isn't gonna catch them or they are going to bite him when he sleeps. Is it ok to pop off their back legs so they can't get around as much (the crickets not the gecko).

I also found out leopard geckos can climb down the side of your bed on the blanket.

Yes you can pop off the back legs what i liked to do was pulled off 1 leg so they can still moved around so the gecko doesnt lose interest in crickets like mine did, or put the crickets in a container and put them in the freezer for about 15 seconds (if they dont slow down try anothe5 5 or so seconds)and they will get very slow and easy to catch.

lol i have a leo that likes to do that on my shirt but i have to be careful cus my leo is kind of a jumper.

feel free to slow down your crickets as much as needed...bear in mind they can still jump a little if youleave one of the back legs on....

Lol, you might also descover they can scale straight up vertical curtains and window screens! anything with some grip to it!
