Here are some pictures which I hope you find interesting of something the Minnesota Herpetological
Society has been involved with now for several years. We have an agreement with the MN Renaisannce
Festival where our herp society goes out and does a hands on type educational show every weekend
during the run of the festival. We get a bunch of volunteers together from the herp society who
bring out their animals to meet the public and give little one on one talks and answer questions with
people who wander by. We have a front fence where we display the snakes and lizards, an alligator
pond for the crocodilians, and a tortoise pen with a grassy area and some water barrels for tortoises
and water turtles.
It's also a very good fund raiser for our society as we get donations from the public and from the
people who put on the Renaissance festival so we can put on better shows and get better speakers for
our members at our monthly meetings and we can also then donate to various herp related causes.
Here's the gators and some of the people who work in the pond.

We have a few of the tortoises go out and walk around the festival grounds collecting donations

Angus the warrior tortoise is a perenial favorite, many of the patrons look forward to seeing him
year after year.

Then we have the fence where people show off their snakes and lizards.

View out the front from the cottage.

Hope you liked the pics.
