I'm not sure, but my female BP just shed and the shedding was clear with a small, light black section.

She lookes normal to me, with a nice orange side and a white-ish belly.

How many sheds before I can comfortably call her an orange ghost?

Is your ball really young still? If she is, and this is one of her first sheds, its normal to have a clear shed. This does not mean its a ghost though. And you mentioned that some of it was partially black. Ghosts have full clear sheds, no color in it at all. This happened to me when I first got my high yellow ball. She shed clear when she was young, but its gradually darkened up over time. Sorry but I don't think its a ghost. Post a pic of it if you can. Hope this helps.

Yes, this does help. It's not her first shed, she's shed a few times but each time she sheds, the shedding skin is lighter and lighter. This time, it was really light, but it was not completly clear. She's about 6 months old and 167g.

I got her a pet store - a rescue effort, actually. I didn't think she was, just curious about the shed.
