THE WHOLE JUNGLE ARGUMENT BOTTOM LINE ....MORE

BLAZEBOAS Sep 28, 2004 01:25 AM

A lot of people think that i enjoy flaming people. Well i dont , there is a reason behind my madness which i will get to in just a second. First off is the whole jungle debate and on a larger scale morphs in general. I find it very dangerouse to the hobby for some one who comes out in a public forum and says that they have a new genetic morph with out so much as even haveing bred the animal(s) in question , let alone conducted the necessary breeding trials to confirm thier statements. I know that alot of us who actually knows boas look at these people and snicker and just move on, but what about the newbies who really dont know anything about boas? If experienced keepers dont question these new morphs thoroughly in public forums for all to see then it opens the door for all sorts of unethical behavior which in turn hurts us all. Thats why i do what i do and im sorry if i offend anyone thats reads my posts and im really sorry if people out there feel that im being maliciously childish, but that right there is the reason to my madness. There are ways to introduce a new morph. If you think you have one post pictures ask for opinions. Then breed the animal and see what happens. If you duplicate it the first time out ,then take one of those offsprings and breed it to something totally unrelated and see what happens. If you duplicate it again then you can say you have a new morph and that its genetic. If after the first breeding you dont duplicate it try breeding the siblings together and see if you hit it. If you do then its safe to say its genetic. If not oH well you tried. be responsible and responsibly contribute to this hobby that we all love. Now as for the jungles. there is only 1 jungle line that line originated in sweden only animals from that line (as of today) are genetic. The breeding trials have been done and the trait has been proven. personally im disgusted by certin people who place ads in the classifieds with thier cheap jungle knock offs and i for one will avoid them like the plague. but unfortunatly those ads are aimed at the newbies who in turn may or may not breed the animal, but what if they decide that they no longer want to breed or keep boas? they then sell the animal ,thats where the animal has a good chance to end up in your colection. what im saying is this hurts us all so why not speak up on this and do so loudly and firmly? well thats my long winded honest opinon fell free to ad to it or chastise me if you feel the need to do so.

Great Post !
If they cant handle the heat of "TRUTH" and make corrections, they then by totally disregarding the proven facts (thru arguement)prestented to them clearly proves their beliefs are diluted and without merit.
This is not limited to just Jungles, its a plague in all Herp class`s.

Sic`em !!
