playing around with my photo software and got this pic of my new red blood.
without the manipulation
I was told this was a borneo???
this is all new to me, these guys were abandoned at a local pet shop.
I wouldnt think thats a boreno its a sumatran blood python
what are the main differences?
I have very little knowledge of bloods, except what i read in a Reptiles article and can find online.
Chris
here is the other blood python i picked up in the deal.
he is much larger than the first one and much darker, not really any red in him.
they were both sold to a local pet store and i bought and traded for both of them.
i was told they are both males.
that last picture is a boreno I am sure of it because sumatrans have lighter colors and more beige to redish color while borenos are darker with more black and grayish colors less red but I wouldnt jump to it I am not the expert here I would suggest you to ask kara KLG from NERD this person will answer your question better than me
The first one posted is a Sumatran Blood and the other is a Borneo Short Tail. Without question! Varying patterns and obvious color differences are a big giveaway. Search the forum and check out NERD's website for more info on the differences in species.
