As i mentioned earlier i am an extremely lazy person so gutload wise the insects get whatever leftover from making meals Carrot, brocoli, bak choi. I always have my mealies in oatmeal mixed in with calc and vit powder. I had a spinkling of powdered milk a while back ago too. I give that to the crix as well.
I've also used the 3 in one orange cubes as moisture source seemed to work well but the insects never seem to finish the cubes and they'd end up all hard and covered in substrate yum!
I use parrot food (various grains, seeds, nuts) and tropical fish food, grinded into powder, then mix with plain oatmeal to use as mealworm bedding. For moisture, I use carrot, orange or papaya.
I also give the parrot and fish food powder for my crickets.
