I just thought i'd let you know, Walmart has their halloween stuff in now, and you can get 75 watt blacklight bulbs for $1.23. As all of us know who use these bulbs, this is a great deal! The day after halloween they drop any remaining ones to 75 cents also. I went ahead and bought 20 of 'em, probably buy the rest of em as soon as they drop to 75 cents, lol. That'll last me the year

I was told that using any black lights that where not specifically made for reptiles is bad for their eyes and not to use them. Did I get the wrong info?

I did a study on this. I measured the wavelength of what a "reptile" blacklight vs a "halloween" black light puts out (the college here has a wavelength meter they let me use) and they are identical. It's packaging, and liability. The packaging makes it more expensive because they say you can use for snakes, and esp at a pet store they arent made in as high quantity so they're more expensive. Then in case of something happening they have a large liability for these things...if some idiot screws it up and burns their reptile and kills it...thats it. They're the same thing.
