What can I do to help him until I get the appointment? By the way, an appointment around here costs more than he is worth, but I care about him so I am gonna do this. Does anyone know of any "home treatments" or something I can do to help him out? Thanks a lot! -Will

Make sure he has a secure hot spot (100 degrees in the heat) that he can go in and out of on his own. By secure, have it so he can bask under cover. If you use a spotlight or under ground heat source, pile folded pieces of card board in the hot spot so he can hide in the pile and still elevate his temperature. This will also give him a wide variety of temps to choose from. Make sure he can get away from the high heat as well so you don't have a second group of problems. Make sure he can choose his temperature options and allow him to do what he wants.

Make sure there are no drafts in his cage, particularly cool moist ones.

Tetracycline in it's water can help if it drinks it. But you will need to get an injectable antibiotic to have better luck. Gentocin injectable works good. Good luck.

Thanks guys for all your help and time. It worked out and he is now rid of the infection. I also highly reccommend the tetracycline in the water, that helped too. It seems kinda far-fetched but it worked. The heat cleared all the mucus and I believe the tetracycline cleared up the infection. I will post some pics soon. Thanks! -Will

Good news. Keep a good eye on him now and hopefully he'll be around to help make some little weezer GBK's next year. Good luck.
