Mine ate right after I got them. Then I got one that was shipped from FL and it took about a month to two months for it to eat. It really depends on how stressed it got from the trip.

I think it depends on the individual, I had a 7g baby started eating on the first night home and didn't mind me picking him up. On the other hand, I bought a 15g juvi early August, took him a week to start eating a little, he's super skiddish and as of today, he still doesn't let me touch him!! He tried to bite me once when my hand got near...

How long should I give him before I start worrying?

I would say 1 month at the most. Maybe more depends on how skinny or rather how fat the gecko is.

He looks fine to me. I think the best way to know whether you should worry is to weigh him. As long as his weight is stable, I wouldn't worry too much. I weigh all my leos once every week to help monitor their health.

What is a healthy weigh for his age and size (3.5 inches head to tail)

It's hard to tell because dif leos grow at dif paces. I would say 7 to 15 grams. Maybe someone with a leo about that size can give you a better estimate. Good luck!
