A note for all who love beardies

AlteredMind99 Sep 28, 2004 07:07 PM

anyone who enjoys keeping beardies, novice or experienced, or is thinking about getting a beardie should read the book "The Bearded Dragon Manual" by Philippe de Vosjoli. Its really awesome and has tons of usefull information to help anyone keep their beardies happy and healthy!!!!

I dunno, it's good.. and rather useful for a lot of things, but I bought it years ago.. it just doesn't cover the basics really well like his other manuals.. let me dig it out, but I think I'm talking about food and such..

I enjoyed and learned a lot from this book also and I admire the author for all he has contributed to herpeculture in general. However (and there may be an updated edition since I last read it) there is some advice in it I would hesitate to follow: feeding pinky mice and keeping youngsters together to observe social behaviors, for example. That being said, it is a good book for learning the basics of bearded dragons .

Best,
michele
