Cheyenne shed , shes more blue

PHEve Sep 28, 2004 07:47 PM

Shes a petite, girl, young yet, but her colors are real nice.
Deep darker yellow, than some of my girls, but real pretty and quite blue.

Snapped a few pics tonight as the girls were romping.

Cheyenne, female C. collaris

yeah i hate it when my keyboard takes over and puts in all these extra letters, ha ha.
all the babes are doing fine from what i can tell. next wednesday i start the second half of kaiser and ivan's pinworm medicine and hopefully soon after that i can put them back on sand. i was convenient that i found out about the worms before i lugged all that sand up to my apartment.
milly and walter are still being troopers. i wish i had a scale to weigh walter. i am pretty sure he is my heaviest collared now. he has turned quite into the little man since he started having some lizard lovin'. he is my gentle one. when i clean their cage i put milly in with ivan and kaiser and i just let him chill on top the cage. he likes to be the escape artist but he never goes far when he does escape. milly's one egg is hanging in there. i just try not to think about it.
helga is still peeling. i think she may be for like the next 6 months. uros are so slow about it and although she has shed alot, parts of her keep repeatedly peeling. she is so pretty and soft. her tail is getting ready to peel. i think that will be fun to watch. her toes have not gotten any worse which is all i care about because they said it would take them a long time to fall off and then heal over. i feel bad she is on paper towels, which always get shredded under her hide spot from digging
hopefully they all will stay healthy now.

Glad to hear an update on everyone, Hope the egg hangs in there for you so you can have your first hatchling this season

You will be so eggcited, hehehe. Helga looked good in her last pic, really cute, and heavier.
Her toes will heal, but yeah, it takes a long time.

Have to agree with the shedding comment, geesh, it takes them a long time the uros, they shed in dribs and drabs, this month then some next, then the tail awhile later. It feels as though they are always shedding.

My Crispy is always shedding LOL everytime I try to take a new pic, hes messy looking again

yes, it is very nice when they are all healthy. it is cold out and overcast here today so everyone is being all lazy. i wish i could join them but i have to go to class in a little while and i still need to eat something at some point today. oh the life of a grad student.
anyway i take it all your babes are fine since you have not reported otherwise. if you told me how they were all doing, we might be here for several days

To find that NITCH ! LOL

Good luck with that, I wish you the best in all that you do!

As far as having alot of collareds, hehehehe Theres a method to my madness, as far as a large group of yellowheads goes.

First if I'm going to breed I want alot of unrelated pairs.
with the ones I had and the ones I have purchased lately, I do.

Also I will not be breeding the same girls, and taxing them, causing them to be so thin all the time. Some seasons some can breed, others can rest.

That way all my PRETTIES can stay in tip top shape (hopefully) and that is the most important thing. (that is why I have more yellows than others.
