I have always switched live feeders to fresh pre-kills, then once established on pre-killed you can transition to frozen/thawed without too much trouble.

Both my current bps were on live when I got them. Syd, my yearling, took the very first f/t i offered. no effort necessary, he's been eating them ever since as if it were always that way.

That is always a good idea to try first, maybe your guy will just take f/t.

If not, you could try the same thing with fresh killed.

Otherwise, you may try a technique that I am using on my younger, pickier girl. Feed live and when she has finished, the tail is still unswallowed, just slip a f/t in after. She'll probably just keep swallowing.

The idea is that eventually the snake will be used to the smell of f/t and the fact that it is in fact food. I haven't finished moving my girl over so i don't have personal results, but i've heard that after a few times of doing this the snake will take f/t alone.

hope this helps.
