::I would leave the ball alone for a good week, and defenetly keep the cat away, they can get really stressed::

>> That was my plan. I have been making sure the cat stays out of the room too.
"She" has been getting used to "her" new place for a couple days now, my fiance is REALLY bummed to not be able to handle "her" or see "her" eat, but he understands. Thanks for the concearn.

After a couple weeks he will probably calm down enough to ever eat in front of you guys. My guy will eat no matter whats going on now. As shy as he is, he loses all fear when he smells food :P

My male, he used to eat in front of me every time even 3 times in a row because I had him on mice. I switched him to rats, I sat there for like an hour while he rested his head on the rat, I gave up, checked on him 15 minutes later and the rat was missing and he had a little bulge! I was so sad because my fiance has never seen a snake eat and he woulden't let us watch. He did the same thing every time. FINALLY Sunday I put the rat in and in 5 minutes it like came back to life (guess I didn't klunk him hard enough) and he was doing the same thing. The whole time the rat twitched and moved he would just look at it, but not eat it, finally the rat put it's two front paws up on his hide box and BOOM! as if he was saying "OH HELL NO! That is MINE!" LOL it was great, and my fiance got to see a snake eat for the first time. He can't wait to finally get Buttercup to eat LOL.

FYI (I was RIGHT there the whole time the rat was in there, I had a pair of sicsors in hand... a trick I learned with one of my BPs who was a live-only feeder... when the mouse/rat goes to bite the snake you put the tip of the sicsors in their mouth and they chomp the metal instead of your snake.)
