Well, my vet gave me doses of fenbendazole, and ivermectin. I've tried various times to get rid of the worms with both medications.

Fenbendazole gets rid of the worms for a few days then they come back. Ivermectin makes her very sick then she expells many of the worms and the don't go away still.

The cage is wiped clean at least 5 times a day after she defacates with a bleach/water solution. And she is currently in a large 40 gallon fish tank to monitor her fecal matter and clean up easier.

She is just under a year so she's not too badly cramped in the tank but she will be shortly...I have no idea what we can do to rid her of these worms.

Naturally they have the nematodes in the wild and it is thought to aid in digestion. People apparently argue this to the end of time whether or not it is good for iguanas to contain worms in captivity but so far it hasn't hurt my iguana.

She keeps gaining weight, eating regularly, is somewhat active (as active as an iguana can be I suppose) and seems completely healthy.

Any opinions on what we should do? Suggestions as to medication or treatment of worms?
