Stories of monster PITS ?

DeanAlessandrini Sep 29, 2004 02:40 PM

This topic came up here at least once before…but…I’d like to hear stories of huge pits that you’ve had
or have seen.

I think Steve G. wins in my recollection with his 8 foot something northern pine snake. I’ve seen it…it’s a beast. Someone has to have or have seen a bull bigger than that, right?

How big to pits REALLY get?
We know the documented record of 100”…but we KNOW they get bigger than that.

I have heard stories of 9’ TX bulls…but…have never seen one or seen documentation…

Anyone ???

8'7" ??!!!
WOW

Since I got this big red bull (see my post from a few days ago)
I've really been wondering how big these things can get. Big pits are really impressive.

You know Dan...I was a "pit guy" years ago before I was into Dry's big time.

I bred black pines, northerns and FL pines...but I never got into bulls. The largest I ever had was a FL pine that made it to about 7'.

With this red bull at 6.5' at 3 years old, even though it has been hibernated the past 2 winters...I think I'm going to have an 8' snake here in a few years.

Dean,
My pair of Crumbly Bulls are both over 8 foot. I also have a pair of black pines over 7 foot. Ron

I have a friend that had a Northern Pine that was a shade over 6 ft....This thing was awesome, and pounded rats with gusto....Unfortunately, the animal died while my friend was moving from Oregon to Arizona....But it was a beauty!
