I have never owned a gecko, but my friend has one and wanted and she wants to get it a mate. So wondering how you tell the differences in the sexes. Thanks

A male leopard gecko will have distinctive little "spots" above the vent (his butt) They are actually called pre anal pores and are in a V shape. Also a male will have two buldges below his vent that are hemipenal buldges. Females have considerably smaller preanal pores and no buldges. This is the easiest way to tell on adults but its usually very difficult on juvies younger than four to five months. I hope this helps!
