my crested geckos isnt sticking on the glass

hi i bought a crested gecko about a week ago and hes doin alright but he wont stick to the glass when i first got him he did but not anymore i looked for some extra skin that might have been there from he last shed but i didnt find any is it because theres water on the glass or something can someone help me
