The Pic of my Dragons Den Blood Baby (dragon number 8) and my Chris Allen Dragon pic

gixer May 14, 2003 11:47 PM

This is my first attempt at posting a picture on the forum, hope it works! If not I'll try again.

The first is the new Blood baby from Dragon's Den and the second is of my FAVORITE of my eight dragons, a Chris Allen RFSF X Red. She is just the best! Very sweet besides being SOOOO beautiful!

If you click on the tools and toys text right below the message box when you are posting it shows you exactly what the code is(I think you figured it out though). If you cant find it, email me and Ill send it to you(if I post it, you will just get a red x, you wont see the code). Chris

the Dachiu one is nicest IMHO followed ver closely by the Chriss Allen one. But the "blood red" from dragons den is not worth half what he charges. Hope it colors up some as it grows, but still it is a beardie so it will be a great pet.

Awesome animals overall, good luck with them.

I went down to Kevins warehouse a couple weeks ago and saw his adult bloods. They are beautiful. I have no idea how that particular baby will turn out (it seems a lot less red than the hatchlings I saw at the warehouse) but I know the parents are very beautiful. From what I've seen they are darker overall than the dragons offered by Chris. Kevin's bloods have red highlights on a brick red/dirty red body while from what I have seen of Chris' Dragons they are red highlights on a lighter almost hypocross type body (knowledge here is limited, mostly what I have seen on the "teasers" at www.jerseydragons.com) Personally I think the lighter coloration brings out the colors more and look a bit better but if I had to choose which dragon was more "red" overall I would give the nod to the dragons I saw at Dragons Den. Also, I have noticed that dragons with darker coloration take much longer to develop color than those with lighter coloration (my beardie Pumpkin is a perfect example). Chris' dragons look absolutely stunning at a young age while the bloods take longer to develop. Either way, they are both absolutely gorgeous lines.

I love the vibrant reds and yellows.....so striking.....

Delilah is the most wonderful "normal" and my Rankin baby is showing alot of yellow and a wishbone pattern on its head, Im hoping to add a red baby boy to my critters in the near future.

NICE! couple questions.
Did you just get all three?
what were the prices on each?

I drove out to a big reptile show in Philly, PA last November and bought the dragons personally from Chris Allen and Rob Dachiu (both are as nice in person as online!). Those two dragons were both a great bargin to me at $150 each. The pictures of these two dragons are a month old or so. My cousin also bought a Dachiu Red X Yellow that day which is really cool and I may be aquiring soon.

I just received the blood last week from Kevin Dunne(who is also a nice guy also) at Dragon's Den. I got the Blood as a replacement for a Sunburst that just never took off as far as eating and growing. The Bloods cost more than the Sunbursts($250 vs. $200) but Kevin traded me up even for the trouble.
Kevin said that the Blood, as with most dragons will color up with age.

We all have seen some amazing color transformations on this forum, but if you want color from start to finish, you know where to get them...Jersey.
