Anyone have any high red Cape Gophers hatching or in the incubator? Can't seem to find any, and none have been listed for sale on the boards yet. Adults / sub-adults would be fine too. Who's holidng out?

You may want to check out Vivid Reptiles site. It's listed on Kingsnake's breeder section. He has nice Capes, nice everything really......check it out. Tom

myself. Del keeps a nice pair of capes from Santa Cruz Reptiles over at his place where the pituophis are kept and bred. I was intending to breed them next year. Del gave it a go by putting the pair together after brumation. I don't think they went, but you never know. I love how you've worked on the color for your "neon" capes David. I thought waiting a year would be no biggie since I'm patient anyway. But, I don't know if you keep posting pics of them. LOL.

After many shows and years of looking for the capes that really jazzed me in all ways.....I got both my red cape ( pictured ) and orange capes from Tim at Vivid. This pic is when he was a hatchling. His colors are good in the pic, but not as good as what they are now. That cape on the other post on this thread is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give Vivid an email...he should have some.

Billy if I may. SNAKE BOOKS WORK GREAT ALSO. My wife gave me 3 snake books for Christmas last year. There aren't too many days that go by that I don't open one of them up to check a reference on or clariy something. Reference material such as books is a must backup for your collections. Good luck.

but the wife probably does not. She believes we have plenty 'o snakes in the basement already...so i'll be buying my own Christmas presents this year...my birthday is this month too...so hopefully someone has some babies i'm looking for and i can buy myself a present, lol. day or so after Christmas saying my wife gave me three snake books for Christmas. A couple others got books too in fact I think we touched on trading books, but it didn't happen. The wives are usually tired of us getting snakes by November so books are a good substitute for something we need, but doesn't increase the size of the collection. It also gives us something to do while our snakes are hibernating. There's all that spare time with the snakes down and I'm sure there isn't anything the wife needs done right. LOL

anything around here the wife will need done this winter either, lol. Yeah right, hahahah, she has me doing all sorts of stuff around here in the winter. Since i'm always hiding in the basement the other 9 months out of the year. I actually stay down there a lot in the winter too, experimenting with new cage ideas, my wish list, some babies and boas that i don't brumate, etc. So she doesn't get the full 3 months of my having off, lol. But i do have some books in mind, even though i just bought both of those original Carl Kauffeld books and the Schulz giant Elaphe book...that thing is great, you need to pick that up this year Terry. I'll start jotting down some book ideas now so by Chrismas i'll have a nice sized list.
