heat rope?

geckoguy_ottawa Jun 27, 2003 10:49 AM

Hi guys,
Anybody here know somebody who tried a heat rope. I want to build a rack system for hatchling and i can't decide between the heat rope or heat tape. The heat rope looks a lot easier to set up than the tape. If anybody has any info I'd love to hear it. Thanks

Here is what I saw that one guy had:

A rack with melamine shelves. He routered a grove down the length of each shelf. The groove fit the 3/8"x3/8" aluminum channel you can find at Home Depot. Under the aluminum channel he ran the heat rope. Pretty killer little rack setup for deli cups and small plastic shoeboxes. The aluminum really helps even the heat out.
