A late Start!!......

Well, I just had my first litter of babies this year and boy was it strange! This was my biggest female 9' and over 50lbs she is a giant. Last year I bred her and had what I thought was a small litter of 32 babies and 3 slugs. All the babies were really big and healthy but for her size i ecpected closer to 40 babies. This year she really beefed up and she continued to eat the entire time while gravid. Two days ago she gave birth, she was bred by a very small 18month old fine line hypo from Jeff Ronne (he is a beautiful snake) Well She gave birth to 19 giant babies, I swear these things look like they are six months old. They are almost 2' long at birth!!! But there are only 19 of them. LOL. The fine line Hypo is very obvious in the 9 that came out as hypo (I had 10 norms and 9 hypos in the litter). They have very small/thin saddles and odd patterns (as many hypos do). I will post pictures of them when they shed. This is very late in the season for my snakes as most of my babies are normally born in late may/early june so I was starting to get worried. This is the first season in the new house with the new reptile room so I am sure that has caused a cycling problem (seeing my striped boa threw slugs I am sure of it!!!) But I still have two more boas to go and a ton of Corn Snake eggs waiting... I am hoping for the Salmontine X Colombian/Suri Cross to drop in the next week!!! I can't wait to see them.
Talk to all later and will post pics ASAP

I can't wait to see some pics of your new babies. They sound fantastic. Good luck with the rest of your pairings.
