Hi everyone,
I thought you might enjoy what happened to me this morning, so I decided to post.
Sierra has been with us about a month now. She is a gorgeous albino with some genetic striping. She is such a character, too. We just switched her over to a winter cage, one that holds better heat/humidity, and she seems to be more...alert. The morning after her cage switch, I stretched and crawled out of bed. There she was, awake and ready for the day, crawling out of her hide box. She gave me this, "Mom!! Are you going to take me out? See? I came to see you this morning, take me out!! I'll be good!" look. I thought it was quite odd that she actually came out to see me, but took her out nonetheless. The next morning, the same thing. The morning after that, the same thing. This morning, same as the others, she was up when I was up...only when I removed the door to get her out....she crawled out of the cage on her own!! No coaxing, no kidding! She just waited at the ledge for me to remove the door and then *zooming noise* came right out to see me. This is the reason herps never cease to amaze me.
