Two days ago, 2 baby Box Turtles were found crawling within 3 feet of my outdoor Box Turtle Pen. Of course, the rain from Hurricane Jeanne's remnants caused them to come out. All of us, (me, hubby, and 2 daughters) have frantically dug throughout the pen to find the "egghole", which is hard!! Yesterday, sadly, 1/2 was found.Today success!!!We have found the "egghole", 2 more babies, and 2 in eggs which I think are not alive but, I don't give up, they are resting comfortably in a mixture with a low heat light, you just never know. So now I have 4 babies, will post pics tomorrow. The other 2 are eating already, which means they might have been around for a week, (especially if they were 3 feet away, probably like miles to them!), and they join their 2 year old brother (or sister)"Yellow Legs" and 2 1/2 year old Brother (or sister) Shylo. I'll take pics of them all next to each other to compare in size. Right now, they are warming up.
