jas,
...There are a couple of different ways to post PICs here. The most important thing you need to do is get your PIC hosted/posted somewhere on the internet. There are photo hosting sites like picturetrail and photobucket and lots of others. Some of these provide free hosting for a limited number of pics. You just sign up with them and follow their instructions for up loading PICs from your computer to their website. You may also have "free" access to set up your own website with your internet provider. You may also have "free" access to limited photo hosting from the makers of your digital camera if you have one. You can also post a limited number of PICs in the kingsnake.com photo galleries for free or you can pay to get more space for more PICs. After your PIC is somewhere on the internet you need to get the address for it and save it till you come here to post. You get the address by right clicking on the PIC and clicking on properties. This will show lots of information about the PIC including the address for it. You can either write down the address or it is even easier to right click on it and paste it into your web browser. When you then come here to post you put the address to your PIC in the Image URL box. I always then use the preview message button to make sure the PIC shows up and then click the post message button. There is a second way to post PICs. If you are using kingnsnake.com photogalleries to host your PIC it is easier because you can just click on the down button in the select image box and it will display a list of all your PICs that are on your kingsnake.com gallery. You then highlight the PIC you want to post. Again you should use the preview message button to make sure you got the right PIC. The third method of posting PICs is to use HTML encoding. This method has the very big advantage in that you can post multiple PICs on the same post. I have forgotten the sequence of symbols to put around the address for your PIC to use this method. Don't worry about having trouble posting your first PIC here. Nearly everyone does have trouble until they get it figured out. Just give it a try and use the preview button and see what you can do.
Good luck,
Jeff
