What morph is my leopard gecko?

blkmetalgrl Sep 30, 2004 08:03 PM

Hi everyone I've had my leo for about 2 months now and he is changing color a bit I was wondering what morph do you guys think he is. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pic. but his body is wither orange or a dark mustard yellow, he has some lavender and no spots on his head. Now he is starting to get more and more orange at the base of his tail. I got him from a store in Miami. Oh yeah one more question, I have some plants in his set up he likes to climb up in them and sleep. I thought leo's were mainly ground dwellers, do you think thats normal? For his set up I use a night light 75 watts, the enclosure is about the size of a 20 long, the sub straight is tile, he has 2 hides one hot and one on the other side of the tank. Thanks so much

I would say thats a tangerine carrot tail cross. Should at the least be a hypo by the time its spots fade and it looses the lavender. Nice looking !

Right now he looks like a tangerine (a nice one too), but as he gets older he will likely turn out to be a hypo tangerine or possibly a super hypo tangerine. And, if he doesn't get any spots on his head he will be a baldy.

Very nice Leo!
