alligator snapping turtle

Hello
a friend of mine has an alligator snapping turtle, and is not sure what to do with it, and actually does not plan on KEEPING it. It was going to be released into the wild by its previous owner, and since it isnt native to OHIO, he took it. SOOOO.. anyone know who or where or how we can go about finding a good home for this animal? not trying to sell it, just give it a good home. We are in N. KY/S. Ohio area. Please message me if you have any ideas. It would be great. I dont have a picture! Sorry!

Thanks
Miya

How big is it? That plays a major part in whether or not people will take it. (Even though it gets big anyway...)

I'm in the Akron/Canton area, and have actually been looking for a snapper. I've had plenty of snappers in the past, so if your still considering re-homing it, email me at DaQueenStace@hotmail.com. Let me know how big it is, anything like that. Thanks!

I dunno if your friend still has it, but I'm a grad student in Louisiana doing reintroduction radio telemetry on the species. My family lives in Columbus and I'll be comin' home for Christmas, so I could theoretically pick it up if they are still looking to unload it. Email me at vicbogosian@yahoo.com if they'd be interested, thanks.
