mealworm problem!

ok i started breeding my own mealworms and the worm larva always crawl all over the place and get out through the air holes. is there anything i can do so they wont get out?

Try smearing a ring of vasoline or petroleum jelly around the lip of the container, it is how they keep roaches in a tank without a lid. I'm assuming you have the holes on top of course.

Mealworms can't really climb the sides of a container. Using this info the easiest thing you could do is put the holes on top. The bin I use, the lid goes on so loose I don't need air holes. Hope this helps!

uh yah i use a dairy land ice cream tub and i never have the lid on. Nothing escapes, even with the beetles i don't have the lid on. I just find it stinks WAY too much and mold grows if i put any sort of lid on.

I also keep all this currently in my BEDROOM, and i'm a girl so its safe i swear :P

well I said I assumed he had the holes in lid and the container is in an upright position and there was space below the lid. I have never saw a mealworm climb anything higher than itself, and they are usually trying to head down not up when I see them.
if he has holes on the side or something, then I am afraid nothing can help keep them in
