Yes, along with high-nutrient greens like kale, mustard, etc, squashes make great dragon food. Mine love squash.

I'd offer mustard, collard, turnip, or dandelion greens first. Kale would be on the lower end of the greens to offer, not a staple. Squash is great and I add it to my salads 4-6 times a week.
