Tripanurgus Compressus in Costa Rica

Efly Oct 01, 2004 11:33 AM

This Tripurgus Compressus was found by Bill Lamar near a fallen tree at night. It was a very well behave snake that never even made 1 attempt to bite. Bill kept the snake until the next day so we could take pics in the daylight.

Very nice. They do well on lizards. very nocturnal to my experience, but mine was tame and would take live food from my hand.

I caught one of those this year in Costa Rica, the pictures never do this animal any justice. I will get my picture scanned and posted. These are one of my favorite Costa Rican Herps. Simply amazing.
