Is this an Amel Eastern king?

This guy was purchased from Terry Durham of albinotricolor.com. Do you think it looks like a pure amel Eastern?

hard to say the whole history on the amel gene popping up in easterns, i personally beleive they were bred into the easterns via another ssp of getula,, but terry sells the best, maybe its me but it just doesnt look like pure eastern to me, or should i say it my opinion that there are hints of some other ssp traits showing up, on that same theory i will say being bred into the easterns w/responsible breeders(like terry) any traces of introduced ssp of getula will be bred out resulting eventually in pure l.g.g, one thing for sure thats a cool looking snake that for sure would fit into ANY eastern.l.g.g breeding project, hope that made sense...thomas

There has been some speculation as to whether the original W/C albino eastern was actually a black king or intergrade. The locality data for the original male is sketchy, and it seems it would have come from an intergrade zone between the eastern and black kings. All the kings that NERD (who acquired the original male) acquired from the collector appeared to be normal eastern kings, at least according to them.

They've got a high bandcount, but that is normal for some populations of eastern kings. I personally believe them to be pure easterns, though I don't rule out the possibility of them originating from black kings or intergrades.

I've got a male, and I plan to breed him into some nicer looking strains of eastern kings.
