Any way to sex green treefrogs that isnt when the male calls?
I have two males that I bought petstore guy swore were females. He offered to take them back but I like them.
They live in 20 gallon high tank and I would like to add two females to the group.
I dont know how to truly sex them neither does he. I know females get bigger than males but what size would definately be a female?

I, in my opinion wud get a bigger tank if ur gettin 2 mroe frogs. its ur choice. Males sometimes have a nupital pad or something like that near their thumb when its mating season. it looks like a wart clustered together. Males sometimes are smaller then females and have loose stretched or darker throats. Hope this helps.

I was thinking of what you just said last night. I am going to look at the 30 gallon high tanks if dont get it than will stick with just two treefrogs for now.
The nupital pads wont work I think unless they are ready to breed but thats an idea.
These two had white throats so thats why we thought females but guess just young males.
I imagine unless i buy them from someone that has seen them lay eggs it might be hard to say 100% if females.
