More information is needed. What type of setup do you have him in. What are the temperatures like? How long has he been in the new setup? What are you attempting to feed him? As much detail as possible would help. And lastly, how does one aquire a turtle as a surprise in a trade.

his in i don't know what size of tank. its big like 35 gal. hes the size of a nickel. theres a basking area and it goes to about 3 inches of water. i think the yock sac might still be feeding him for the next few weeks. i put lettice in (not to be surprised that he just took a small bite out of it)i put in small minnows are worms (alive and cut up minnows) and some pellets. the waters at 68 degress and the air is arount the low 70s. i got a painted turtle in a trade and he was in the box and the guy said he didn't know what to do with it so he sent it to me.
thanks
nathan

Number one, your temps are too low. Try the following.

Air Temperature: 75° - 83°

Basking Temperature: Mid 80's to low 90's

Water Temperature: Mid to High 70's

Also you might want to put him in a smaller aquarium for now. Make it wasier for him to find the food and easier for you to monitor and clean. DSee what happens when you raise the temps, it should stimulate his appetite.

i wouldnt move him into a bigger tank, musk turtles like all the room they can get and they like alot of room. if he is as young a you say, he will not eat alot for the next couple weeks because he sitll has his yoak to feed on. good luck
