there are several things to try. First is a newborn pinky in a deli cup with the snake, leave it for 24 hours. If it hasn't eaten it, then try scenting the pinky. Wash the pinky with unscented soap (Ivory is my soap of choice for this), dry off the pinky, then rub it on the lizard, do the deli cup thing again.
sometimes the action of a live newborn pinky will spur a neonate to feed.
Sometimes alterna don't feed the first season, so it is necessary to pump them a few times, then cool them down for a month or so, then bring up and try feeding again. if it still won't feed, cool down until spring and try again.
Good luck

Can you rub the pinky on any type of lizard. Because we have a few. Or does it have to be a skink?? Just wondering. Also we don't breed mice so the pinky thing is not an option. If you could give any advise, it would be helpful

Give it a shot--couldn't hurt to try. I was WONDERING why you were so adamant about skinks!

If you can get the snake to accept frozen/thawed pinkies, you'll be set. Order in bulk.

We already have pinkies but she won't accept them on her own which is the problem, we will try rubbing a pinky on a lizard and see if that works.

Thanks for your input, we will inform you if anything happens

Some people scent their pinkies by placing them in a cup with the lizard for several minutes, to make sure the pinkie absorbs enough scent. This might help.

Think is we only have live lizards and they won't fit in a cup, they might just eat the pinky then....
