Sexing

Hi

I am trying to guess the sex of my ball python. I am not familiar with probing, although I've read it's not very effective with balls. I've tried popping, nothing, could be a female. Spurs seem small to me, no one to compare with.

Could anyone of you guys give an educated guess based on that the snake is 110 cm (43 inches) and its tail is at least 8 cm (3 inches)?

Is 110 cm (43 inches) suitable for breeding? It's a very stocky snake feeding readily on frozen mice.

Any further ideas on sexing would be appreciated .

Many thanks

It's plenty big to breed, and if it's a boy, you should have been able to pop spem plugs out of it. There is no way to tell by tail-length or spur-size. Probing is very effective, it's just the ones that probe 5-6 subcauds that are iffy.
