A bought my first Frilled Lizard about 2-3 weeks ago, and I noticed he has some white spots on his tail. Now I see that it looks like some scales may have come off and underneath them is just whiteish skin or whiteish scales? Is this possiable? And when I went to pet him once, A scale came off him and was on my finger. Do I need to see a vet, or is it some form of shedding or something else?

I am not an expert, but he may be shedding, did his colors darken? Also do they come off in patches or individual scales? I have had both types of sheds? but like I said i am not an expert and there are many more in this forum who know mush more then I do. This forum is very dead, so don't be offended if it takes a while to get a reply, i learned that the hard way

Is it whitish skin or scales under what's comming off? Is the scales that are comming off transparent or solid in color?
If there are no scales under what's comming off, you're most likely having some medical problem with your lizard. If there are light colored scales under, it's just shedding it's skin.
