Canada Garder Snake breeder care sheets

does any1 know a garter snake breeder in the toronto/richmond hill/missausaga area?

also any care sheets would be nice

and do garters NEED mice? or wil they survibve without them (with just like fish, worms and such for food)

and can they eat siljworms?

Garters do not need mice but using frozen thawed mice allows you to have a convient food source that if frozen for more than 2 weeks is mostly parasite free (will not affect a couple of parasites). They are also pretty well balanced as a food item.
Feeder fish can carry parasites. Gold fish are too high in saturated fats to be used as a major part of the diet. Frozen/thawed fish also can lead to thiamine deficencies if fed as the major part of the diet.

Unless you are willing to scent the silkworms I doubt the garters will eat the silkworms. Also silkworms are high in fats.
